We have attempted to interview many Igusa farmers in Kumamoto so far. What we have learned is that only about 60% of the rush grass produced is commercialized.The rest of the rushes are not commercialized because they are not long enough or are uneven.

We are considering the possibility of making a sustainable approach to rush grass, a material that helps us to realize a sustainable lifestyle.

IGUSABI is considering the use of rush grass as a product, including the use of rush grass left over from the tatami production process and the use of rush grass that could not be commercialized due to insufficient length or unevenness.
