IGUSABI is being featured in “Made Differently,” an exhibition held at Fabrica X, located inside AIRSIDE, a commercial complex in Kowloon, Hong Kong. The exhibition runs from July 1 to September 30, 2026.

“Made Differently” showcases brands and innovators that are rethinking materials, manufacturing processes, and what happens to products after use, offering alternatives to conventional mass production.

Featuring plant-based materials, mycelium-derived materials, and the reuse of discarded resources, the exhibition explores how the production of everyday goods and interior products can be reimagined for the future.

In this exhibition, IGUSABI is presented not simply as a brand introducing tatami or Japanese culture, but as a brand focused on sustainable material development—bringing igusa, a natural material whose cultivation and use are in decline, into contemporary lifestyles and new applications.

We are delighted that IGUSABI’s efforts to rediscover the inherent value and potential of igusa and develop it into new forms and applications are being shared with audiences across borders and cultures.
